Contemporary spaces extend beyond physical reality through layers of virtual relations. Data interpretation is one of
the most contemporary challenges within many fields and requires the capability of revealing patterns inside complex data.

What is Data Aided Design

Data Aided Design is a social platform where designers, artists and data scientists can share their works and ideas.
This platform promotes and investigates relations between contemporary design and data driven society.
The word “Data” assumes a wide range of meanings, datum can become everything that can inspire new ideas, a new point of view,
a source of inspiration of different ways of thinking.

How can you participate?

Becoming a member of Data Aided Design is simple and free. The platform offers people the possibility
to showcase their works, their research and their portfolio, as well as create work groups,
share files and create forums. The idea is to build a vibrant community of people that share interests
in how designing through data allows to read understand and shape the new data driven society.

Founders

Francesca Silvi is an architect and computational designer based in London. She gained experience
in several international practices, such as Zaha Hadid Architects, Foster+Partners.
She completed her postgraduate master MArch AD at the Bartlett School of Architecture, after the
Master’s Degree in Architectural Engineering in Rome.

Mattia Santi is a London based architect and computational designer. He gained experience
in several international practices, such as Zaha Hadid Architects, Farshid Moussavi Architects.
He received his postgraduate master MArch DRL at the Architectural Association, after
completing with honours the Master’s Degree in Architectural Engineering in Rome.
